Deborah Thompson MA, SPHR
Firm Administrator

Deborah is the first Firm Administrator at Shannon Mullins & Wright.  Deborah was born in Richmond, Virginia.  She earned a BA in US History from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from The George Washington University here in DC.

Deborah began her law firm career as a paralegal and worked her way up to Legal Management in several large firms. Deborah is a Past President of the Legal Assistant Management Association.  She is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators and the Society of Human Resource Management where she earned her Senior Professional of Human Resources Certification in 2000.

Deborah is an ardent lover of dogs especially Cocker Spaniels, Murder Mysteries and all types of Music especially good old country songs. For several years in her youth, she was lead singer for a cover band where she learned many life lessons. On a day off you may find her scouting the Antique Shops in the DMV.

Meghan Szejner
Paralegal

Meghan is an experienced legal assistant & paralegal. After graduating from Radford University, Meghan developed and enhanced her legal team support skills at two midsize law firms in Tysons Corner and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In Meghan’s free time, you will likely find her in a Caps jersey cheering for the Washington Capitals.

Elizabeth Roytberg
Receptionist

Elizabeth is well versed in providing an exceptional client experience and colleague support. Originally from New Jersey, she is currently a student at The George Washington University, where she studies International Affairs and Security Policy. Prior to joining SMW, Elizabeth honed her skills as a professional service team member while working in an administrative support role at an international commercial import and export company.

In her free time, Elizabeth can be found enjoying quality time with family and friends, or immersing herself in the rich history and culture of the Washington, DC area.

Rebekah Green
Law Clerk

Bekka has over fourteen years of experience as a paralegal at several law firms in Virginia, with both litigation and transactional practice groups.  Currently, she is attending Catholic University Law School as an evening student and expects to receive her Juris Doctorate degree in May 2022.  In addition to her studies, Bekka is serving as Editor-in-Chief for the Catholic University Law Review (the first ever Catholic University evening student being selected for the Editor-in-Chief role).

When Bekka has free time again after graduation, she will likely be found spending quality time with her husband and spoiling her adorable dogs, Farley, Finn and Tilly – while cheering for her two favorite sports teams the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins.
