Bekka has over fourteen years of experience as a paralegal at several law firms in Virginia, with both litigation and transactional practice groups. Currently, she is attending Catholic University Law School as an evening student and expects to receive her Juris Doctorate degree in May 2022. In addition to her studies, Bekka is serving as Editor-in-Chief for the Catholic University Law Review (the first-ever Catholic University evening student being selected for the Editor-in-Chief role).
When Bekka has free time again after graduation, she will likely be found spending quality time spoiling her adorable dogs, Farley, Finn and Tilly – while cheering for her two favorite sports teams the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins.
Patti supports the firm’s Estate and Trust practice with nearly 30 years of paralegal experience. Prior to joining the firm Patti focused on business and civil litigation with various firms in Northern Virginia. She earned her BA in Psychology from Elon University.
Patti is an Alexandria native who enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, along with spending time with her first grandchild.
Teresa is a focused legal professional having worked in Virginia law firms for more than fifteen years. After putting herself through school to earn her bachelor’s degree, she returned to school to become a certified Paralegal. Since then, she has worked in civil litigation, corporate/business law, and transactional practice groups. Earlier in her legal career, she gained experience in family law, personal injury, criminal law, and trust & estate law.
In her free time, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren. Teresa likes to cook, exercise, go on long walks, have unplanned adventures, and travel. She is an animal lover and has three wonderful dogs. She is also involved in a variety of volunteer work in her community and throughout the DMV.
A former public relations executive, Sarah transitioned to the role of paralegal when she began attending Catholic University, Columbus School of Law School as an evening student. Her legal experience has since primarily focused on civil and business litigation, as well as real estate and corporate law. Sarah is projected to receive her Juris Doctorate degree in May 2023.
Outside of work and school, Sarah spends her minuscule amount of free time rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs, playing guitar, and being the best dog mom to Maizy.
Angie has over eleven years of accounting and billing experience in both the professional services and medical industries. In her role at SMW she manages client billing, accounts payable, and receivables.
In her free time Angie enjoys watching her favorite football team the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with her husband, family and spoiling her grandkids. She also enjoys spoiling her adorable dog, Roxy.

Kaitlyn Aney is a Wisconsin native who moved to Virginia to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in American History with a focus on the early American republic. After finishing her undergraduate studies, Kaitlyn hopes to become a paralegal to gain a more in depth experience of the legal field before attending law school. Working with Shannon, Mullins & Wright, Kaitlyn is excited to learn about the everyday operation of a law office and its legal processes.
In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys shopping and trying new restaurants with friends. Kaitlyn is passionate about traveling and would someday like to visit the countries of Spain, Italy, and Norway.
